Gods of the Nuo Ritual

Chuling defies tradition to pursue the ancient ways of the Nuo ritual. After being expelled from home for secretly learning the craft as a child, she trains relentlessly for ten years abroad, becoming the nation's most renowned Nuo master. Upon returning to her ancestral village to visit her parents, she faces suppression from conservative factions. Using her exceptional skills, Chuling earns universal respect, humiliates her antagonists, and shatters the outdated rule that Nuo rituals are only passed down to men.
