Whole Family Thrives Through Hardship

After a car accident, Han Yanyan and her family travel back to a rural area during a famine in the Republic of China era, becoming the family's despised gambling addict, lazy wife, and spoiled daughter. Armed with her heirloom cheat code (merit exchange for supplies), the three turn to the right. First, they resolve conflicts with relatives, accumulate merit by helping others to earn food and survive. Then, they set up a stall selling wontons and sell their exclusive seasoning to earn money, pay off a thirty-dollar debt, and redeem their property deed. Finally, they lead villagers to dig sweet potatoes and collect herbs to lift themselves out of poverty, eventually buying back their land. The Han family reunites, becomes wealthy, and achieves a comeback from villains to benefactors.
