In a rainy night in Chuan City in 1999, orphan Ma Zhuo saves a boy named Xia Ze from gangsters at her adoptive father Anan's supermarket, discovering he is the same boy who helped her five years ago. Xia Ze's vibrant life force attracts Ma Zhuo's loneliness and stubbornness, but a devastating fire causes a misunderstanding that separates the two who deeply love each other.
