Grateful for the unwavering care of Su Qianqian, the daughter of the Su family, the two gradually fell in love. Zhan Yongyan planned to retire with her and live a quiet life, but the ambitious Prince Ning'an launched a rebellion against the capital, putting the Emperor in grave danger. Forced to return to the battlefield, Zhan Yongyan led his troops to repel the rebels with his very body.
