Private Detective: Beautiful and Tough

Jiang Lingyan, a lonely scholar and private detective, struggles to make a living. After accepting a major case, she mistakenly identifies Rong Zhilin as her target due to wrong information and approaches him under the alias Su Li. At a bar, while flirting with Rong, she playfully bumps into him on both sides, claiming it was a toast to love. During a brief pause, someone poisons the drinks, but Rong steps in to protect her. To counteract the drug effects, Jiang Lingyan makes an exception and spends the night with Rong, during which he notices a mole on her right breast. Afterward, she leaves in a rush, leaving behind her mother's heirloom—a ring. Rong picks it up and keeps it close to his body day and night, often touching it.
