Li Qingqing, a student studying in the UK, accidentally saves archaeologist Xie Chengzhou from drowning right before graduation. Her act awakens Xiao Feitian, a Chinese artifact brought overseas that takes human form. Recognizing Li as her 'mom', Xiao Feitian grants her the ability to see and communicate with artifacts. To bring Xiao Feitian back to China, Li temporarily stays at Xie's home. While caring for Xiao Feitian and searching for other lost artifacts, the two gradually grow closer.
