Love in the Ideal Era

In 1990, Northeast China, failed college entrance exam candidate Wu Xiuli relies on her boyfriend Li Xuegang to move to the city, only to be deceived and abandoned on the street that night. Fortunately, she is taken in by English teacher Xu Yunfeng. Under his guidance, Wu Xiuli sees Li Xuegang's true colors, and feelings begin to grow between them. However, Li Xuegang persists, and colleague Qiao Jinghai also pursues her because she resembles his deceased lover.
