Scent of the Night

In the snowy night of Jiangcheng, Yu Qingmei, the noodle shop owner, encounters Xiao Hanshen covered in blood. A handkerchief embroidered with a plum blossom and a jade pendant set the stage for their intertwined fates. To clear her parents' wrongful imprisonment, Qingmei enters the Xiao family mansion. She expected the strict rules and conflicts to be the hardest part, but what truly disorients her is the head of the family, a man rumored to be as cold as ice and mute for years—the very man she saved that snowy night. Everyone in the mansion knows Hanshen avoids women, yet he has carved Qingmei into his very bones. As the saying goes, 'Though it is not snow, there comes a subtle fragrance.'
