The Empress Sharpening Her Blade Again

Three years ago, a fake performance led to the Luan family's exile to the desert, where they suffered greatly and buried their hatred deep. Three years later, she returns as a fierce red-faced general, questioning Emperor Xiao Che of his past cruelty. With the Empress Dowager's support granting her the phoenix seal and the Imperial Astronomical Bureau confirming her as the destined Empress, officials unanimously urge her to marry. Confronted with her demand for marriage while holding a blade, Xiao Che panics and agrees immediately, eager to settle old scores. However, with the treasury empty and war urgent, ministers kneel begging for her help. The proud emperor stubbornly refuses at first but eventually lowers his dignity, pleading softly for her to take him in and support him, playing out a sweet and bitter love story within the deep palace.
