Breaking the Rules

Due to a century-old water dispute, the Shangshui and Xiaoshui villages have never intermarried. Wenyuan Yu and Xuelan Zhao's cross-village romance violates clan rules, leading to Wenyuan's forced exile after being reported by Sanshui Zheng, while Xuelan is forcibly married to Zheng and secretly raises their son. A decade later, Wenyuan rises to become the wealthiest man in Yun City as the Shangshui village faces desperation and turns to him. Upon returning, Wenyuan settles old scores and resolves hatreds while uncovering his son's true identity. Ultimately, he lets go of his obsession, shatters feudal shackles, and leads villagers to develop mineral water and mountain products, transforming the isolated village into a land of prosperity while protecting their family and love.
