Roses Fall, She Returns

Shen Rongwei, the illegitimate daughter of the Shen family, refuses to be sold by her stepmother to a bully as a concubine. She flees with her younger sister to seek refuge at her aunt Zhang's prestigious mansion in the capital, but is rejected. To survive, she secretly seduces Xiao Yanqing, securing her position in the Xiao family as his cousin. By day, they are proper cousins observing etiquette; by night, they engage in ambiguous intimacy. Rongwei plans to quietly leave once Xiao Yanqing marries, but the seemingly self-disciplined Xiao Yanqing is actually dark and obsessive, filled with possessiveness, and insists on taking her as a concubine. This drama is adapted from the novel 'The Mad Minister Seizes Her, You Seduced Me First' by author Xu Yao Yan Yan.
