You Said the Demon Abyss Had No Demons, But the Emperor's Oath Is Broken

Ye Changqing kept his promise, guarding the demon cave for thousands of years to protect the peace of Great Qian. The new Empress, misled by her favorite Gu Beichen, believed he was stationed there to secretly steal treasures from the secret realm. The entire nation mocked and suspected him. Despite Ye Changqing's heartfelt warning that the demons were not yet extinguished and their departure would bring catastrophe, he was ridiculed and driven away, severing all his sense of loyalty. Heartbroken, he left silently. While commoners and soldiers rushed into the demon cave to plunder treasures, the demons, dormant for millennia, launched a full-scale attack, killing everyone who dared to rob them. The tragic news reached the palace, and the Empress, finally realizing her mistake, fell into endless regret.
