Ruli is a mythical beast named Pixiu who descends from the mountains to find her childhood benefactor, Le Chengyu. However, Le Chengyu is about to face divine punishment and die after opposing the Son of Heaven. To save him, Ruli must act like a spoiled child and stay by his side. Le Chengyu pinches his nose and agrees, unaware that this young girl is actually the kitten who accompanied him since childhood.
