Waiting for You: Flowers Bloom Year After Year
Emperor Xiao Jingchuan is trapped by enemies with his life hanging in the balance. Empress Shen Wanjun, pregnant, desperately distracts the pursuers. Severely injured and disfigured, Shen Wanjun loses her memory and becomes paralyzed, but is saved by maid Liu Momo and taken to the cold palace where she gives birth to twin boys and a girl. Eight years later, the three children struggle to survive in a makeshift shelter within the cold palace. Devastated by the loss of his wife, Emperor Xiao Jingchuan remains unaware that his wife is still alive in the palace. Shen Wanjun is on the verge of death and risks going out of the palace every year to find medicine. She accidentally encounters the Emperor, who finds her familiar and grants permission for her and her family to attend the Empress Dowager's birthday banquet. Year after year, she pushes a dilapidated wooden cart carrying her sick mother to the banquet.
