Dragon's Favor

Dragon God accidentally favors commoner Chen Yingluo, catching the River God's attention. To win Dragon God's favor, the River God visits Chen Yingluo's impoverished home and uses his limited three magical abilities to grant them three wishes. The greedy Chen father demands to become emperor. After ascending the throne, his first act is abandoning his wife and daughter. Chen Yingluo then hatches a golden egg, leading the Chen father to mistakenly believe she gave birth to a monster. He subjects her and her mother to torture and orders their execution. At the critical moment, the Dragon God arrives to save his family.
