Furong Bone

Rong Qiluo and her mother suffer cruel neglect from a father who favors concubines over his wife. Just before her half-sister becomes Empress, the concubine kills Qiluo's mother. Qiluo teams up with the Nine Thousand Year Old to swap faces and marry into the family, forcing her half-sister to reap the consequences. Deep within the palace, she must complete the Nine Thousand Year Old's secret order to assassinate the emperor while falling under the emperor's gentle care. False pregnancy scandals and mysteries about her true identity follow, compounded by the Nine Thousand Year Old's coercion. When the truth of the rebellion and the prince's identity are revealed, the emperor pierces the fog of political intrigue and protects her with his heart. This face-swap revenge plot is ultimately tempered with true love amidst the bloody palace.
