River Green Beyond

In the 1980s, Xu Mingyue, treated unfairly by her father, marries into the remote Qiaoshui Town to support her sister Xu Zhaozhao, who marries the factory director's son. Though resigned, Xu Mingyue believes in building a better life. She discovers her husband, Meng Jingyou, is a gentle heir to a centuries-old boatman family, while her mother-in-law, though fierce, is sensible and entrusts her with financial control. When Xu Zhaozhao and her husband Gu Xingyang come to the factory for help, they doubt Xu Mingyue's success. Amidst the turmoil, Meng Jingyou's identity as a master boatman family is revealed; he controls shipping and aids in building a cross-river bridge.
