My Dad Is Totally Crazy
In 1964, three-year-old Chang'an escapes kidnapping and follows clues to Gu Village to find his father, adopting Gu Lao Liu, a man with a quirky mind and no money. The father-daughter duo spends time eating melons and relaxing, while Lao Liu is forced to become a successful leader. With two giant wolves that hunt by their side, they divide the family property, steal pigs, move to the city, repair tractors, pave roads, build a farm, implement irrigation, and plant medicinal herbs. Lao Liu transforms from a village-wide eccentric into a skilled worker, while Chang'an uses her innate spatial abilities and powerful melon-eating radar to make life in the 1960s chaotic yet lively.
