Snake Shadows Mystery

In the deep mountains, Chen Batou hunts rare snakes for profit, often scolded by his grandmother. His grandson, Xiao Jun, is blamed for a snake skin rash on his forehead as divine punishment, fueling his resentment against his grandfather's hunting. Medicine merchant Huang San lures Chen Batou to catch the Golden Pattern White Snake King at a high price, then attempts to seize it cheaply. Despite night raids and illusion traps, Huang fails to get the snake. Chen Batou's family believes they have angered the mountain god and releases the White Snake King. The snake sprays poison on Xiao Jun's face, and Huang reveals his conspiracy. When they evacuate, Xiao Jun's rash disappears, and Chen Batou realizes the White Snake King possesses spirit. Soon after, Huang's gang is bitten to death by snakes, urging respect for nature and protection of wildlife.
