Yellow Hair Becomes a Scholar, Protecting His Crush

After transmigrating into a book as a low-achieving delinquent named Zhang Chen, he quickly changes his attitude to stop his henchmen from bullying Bai Xiruo, even paying for her meal and treating her to dinner. At school, teacher Deng Xianbing summons Zhang Chen for his bullying behavior, while his childhood sweetheart Nan Xingwan begs for another chance. Bai Xiruo unexpectedly defends him. To stay in school, Zhang Chen makes a bet with Deng Xianbing to pass all exams, promising to reform. He hires Nan Xingwan for tutoring, cuts his yellow hair to change his look, and repeatedly protects Bai Xiruo while distancing himself from Su Yu, who instigated the bullying. As their youth romance begins to bloom, he discovers the original male protagonist, Ye Fan, has disappeared.
