At 28, Yin Wangshu becomes the nanny for the Mo family. Her employer, Mo Chen, overlooks her scandalous past, leading Yin to believe her bleak life is finally turning around. However, a car accident causes Mo Chen to die because of her. From then on, Yin is tormented by guilt. Mo Chen's son, Mo Huai, shares her negative outlook, and the two sign an absurd agreement to live together and embrace life.
