Yuan Qi: Conquering the Demons
In the era of Heavenly Enlightenment, corruption plagues the bureaucracy and people suffer. Strange demon spirits appear, wreaking havoc, prompting the court to task the Imperial Guard with exorcism. Highly trusted captain Hu Jinbo fights tirelessly against demons but discovers one is actually General Xu, a high-ranking official. Knowing the situation is suspicious, Hu decides to investigate the truth privately. His investigation reveals the so-called demon spirits were transformed by curses or mere tricks and illusions by the underworld. As the court's campaign intensifies, countless officials and civilians are dragged into the turmoil, resulting in bloodshed. Hu realizes the Imperial Guard may be indiscriminately killing innocents.
