Snake Punishment

During the excavation of an old ancestral home, Zhu Zi discovers a snake. His wife-in-law urgently needs snake bone wine to treat her back injury, so he plans to brew alcohol with the snake from the foundation. However, she and her father-in-law firmly refuse. The father-in-law warns that killing the foundation snake is forbidden and digging further will lead to a tragic death like their former neighbor, Uncle He. Unconvinced by their superstitions, Zhu Zi buys the wine himself. Despite being cursed by a village fool and rejected by the shop owner, he remains steadfast in his scientific beliefs and continues to kill the snake to heal his wife-in-law.
