Waiting for Dusk and Clouds to Return

Ji Lingruo was betrothed to young general Duan Mu Ning since childhood, and the two loved each other. After Duan Mu Ning went to quell the rebellion for three years, Ji Lingruo was poisoned by her adopted sister Song Qinghuan, had her father imprisoned and abused, and even had her death faked and spread across the city. Upon his return, Duan Mu Ning sensed something was wrong and found the dying Ji Lingruo in a coffin at the funeral home. Song Qinghuan colluded with internal and external forces to kill both of them. Duan Mu Ning summoned people from all sides, and a life-and-death confrontation erupted at the Ji family mansion.
