Lu Ban's Secret Art: The Killing Trap

In Republican-era Jiangning, landlord Li Wancai hires Lu Master, a disciple of Lu Ban, to renovate his mansion. After completion, Li maliciously withholds payment and assaults Lu, causing the death of his apprentice. Leaving with a threat to collect his debt within seven days, Lu departs. Strange events soon plague the Li household: the master suffers unexplained wounds and boils, children encounter eerie puppets, and objects mysteriously break, suggesting a backlash from the art of yansheng. Just as a Taoist priest arrives to exorcise demons, the chaos only intensifies, revealing a truth that grows increasingly mysterious.
