Forbidden Ancient Mirror: Midnight Don't Look Back

Photographer Zhou Yu buys a Republic of China-era ancient mirror and encounters a series of eerie events. Strange phenomena in the mirror are linked to the wrongful death case of Yun Gu, a tragic opera singer. He teams up with folklorist blogger Lin Wei, combining scientific methods with historical research to uncover the truth: Yun Gu was persecuted by the powerful and covered up by others. During the investigation, they face constant death threats and interference from vengeful spirits. In the end, they find irrefutable evidence to expose the real culprit, clearing Yun Gu's name. Meanwhile, his friend Zhang Hao is the true guardian of the ancient mirror, guiding the story secretly. The narrative uses a story-within-a-story format to convey the themes of upholding justice and maintaining scientific rationality.
