College student Zhang Yunyun tries to earn extra money during winter break but falls into a trafficking ring and is sold to the countryside. She discovers she was taken to her hometown, Niutou Village, where her father is the respected village elder. Believing she has a chance of rescue since she's back home, she is shocked to learn her buyer is Xu Fugui, an old bachelor in the village. Recognizing Zhang Yunyun, Xu not only refuses to help her escape but covets her family's power, attempting to force a marriage and solidifying the transaction.
