When the Fog Lifts

Xue Mengyao accidentally travels back 90 years to meet her young great-grandfather, Xue Dingyi, and tries to stop an impending massacre. Carrying modern memories and a family heirloom jade pendant, she takes on the mission to change her family's fate. In her memories, Great-Grandfather Xue Dingyi was originally a young warlord of the Republic era, but was killed by General Zhang and his aide, Cui Xiaojia, on the day he was forced to seal a betrothal with General Zhang's daughter. The entire Xue family was wiped out, leaving only the young Grandfather Xue Xiaoliang alive, who survived with a lifelong disability. The family subsequently declined.
