Died on the Emperor's Night, He Cried Red-Eyed

After General Qin Wangge died at Yanguan Pass, her mother used puppetry to keep her body alive. Emperor Gu Changle saw her 'sitting' by the window and promised to make her his empress. On her wedding day, beneath the red veil was only her corpse. He dissected the body to prove the truth, realizing his youthful affection was all in vain. After the truth tore him apart, he went alone to die beyond the pass, while her ashes were taken away by a deputy general. From then on, the mountains were high and the seas vast, with no legend of an emperor and empress buried together.
