Bu Jue, the legitimate daughter of the Xingan Marquis, loses her mother at age seven after being framed by a concubine and cast out of the princely mansion. Later, following a crisis involving the Crown Prince, she is sent back to the family and teams up with Lu Chengqian to expose the villains. Despite repeated schemes by Ren Mingqing and others, Bu Jue always outsmarts them. As the truth emerges, Bu Jue discovers her mother's death was connected to the Emperor, while Lu Chengqian is actually the son of the previous emperor.
