Qianqian Seeks the Throne

In the Great Xuan Empire, the throne passes only to a princess who has married and borne children. Long Princess Chu Qianqian, seeking a prince consort to secure her claim, meets Prince Jun Aochen, a wolf king from the mortal realm, and they form a bond. Her half-sister Chu Rou'er repeatedly schemes against her, kidnapping the candidate, poisoning him, spreading a plague to frame him, and allying with foreign enemies to rebel. With Jun Aochen's support, Qianqian wins the popularity of the people by saving lives during a poetry contest and investigating the plague, suppresses the rebellion, and successfully ascends the throne. Jun Aochen then uses his dragon abilities to help her consolidate her imperial power.
