Tears of the Dragon Princess

Dragon Yu, a dragon princess, marries Qin Guanzhi after he saves her. When severe drought strikes Northern Zhao, the magistrate Qin Guanzhi panics. Dragon Yu defies the heavens to bring rain to save the people, but is slandered by the Drought Demon and cast into the river for sacrifice. Qin Guanzhi remains faithful to her, yet the Drought Demon imprisons him and transforms into his likeness to torture Dragon Yu. Upon entering the water, Dragon Yu transforms into a dragon, revealing her true identity to the suffering masses. She rescues Qin Guanzhi, but their act of bringing rain invites a heavenly thunderstorm. Qin Guanzhi shields Dragon Yu from the strike, and the two work together to suppress the Drought Demon, restoring peace to the world.
