Red Lanterns: The Bride Hunting Scam

After failing his college entrance exam, Cheng Mu, encouraged by his brother Fang Zhan, travels to a village to explore the practice of bride hunting. An early arrival, Li San, confirms the custom exists. Intrigued, Cheng Mu attempts it but soon notices strange changes in his brother and Li San after interacting with local women. He meets Tang Qian, and through testing and cooperation, they uncover the truth: the village uses bride hunting to deceive men, addicting them with special tea and mysterious fruits before sending them to mines as laborers. The mastermind is the High Priest, who manipulates everything through dark magic. Cheng Mu exposes the scam, successfully rescuing his trapped brother, friends, and the village women, restoring peace to all.
