Guardians of the Ruins: The Wa Ma Chronicles

After millennia, Zhao Xuan forgets the true form of the Wa Ma god and the past. He reappears to retrieve the sacred artifact protecting four great clans. As the hundred-year limit approaches, the artifact's fortune wanes, inviting the ruthless revenge of his nemesis, Ishikawa. Ishikawa sets up the 'Four Symbols Formation', creating life-and-death crises within the clans and spreading rumors of 'cat demons' to incite the townspeople, vowing to drive Zhao Xuan into madness. Accompanied by Chen Ye, the loyal descendant of the Chen family who has guarded him faithfully, Zhao Xuan unravels the mystery. When the ultimate conspiracy emerges, Zhao Xuan uses his divinity to purge the evil, settling the thousand-year grudge. He then chooses to hide his traces, leaving Chen Ye to remain outside the Wa Ma shop, waiting by the side of the returned god.
