My First Half of Life

In 1969, Peony was raped by Luohan and raised her younger brother alone amidst village gossip. Qiangzi sympathized with her, falling in love despite his mother's opposition. After a family crisis, Peony's devoted care earned her parents' approval, and they welcomed their son, Manman, bringing hope to their lives. Years later, the released and wealthy Luohan discovered Manman was his own son and sought custody. Complications arose when Qiangzi helped his friend Guanzi, who was injured at a chicken farm, while Yang Xiaoxia showed interest in Qiangzi. Tempted by Luohan, Manman left, leading to violent attacks on Peony. A conflict between Qiangzi and Luohan resulted in Luohan's death and Qiangzi's imprisonment. In 2008, Peony sold sweet potatoes with her son while Qiangzi was released, finally reunifying the family.
