The Perfumer

Newly entered palace perfumer Qin You follows a maid to Hua Fei's palace, only to witness Hua Fei angrily scolding servants because they cannot craft the orchid scent the Emperor loves. Seeing this, Qin You volunteers to create the fragrance. After Hua Fei tests it, she feels an intense itch and immediately orders her execution. In the crisis, the maid detects that this is indeed the pure orchid scent. Although Hua Fei still feels the itch, she remembers the scent could help her gain the Emperor's favor and changes her mind, recognizing Qin You as a talented candidate.
