Crow's Omen
In 1987, ranger Chen Jianjun saves an injured crow in Luofeng Village, Qinling, defying rumors that it is a death omen. Strange events soon plague the village: crows cry at night, villagers fall ill and die, and ghostly figures follow the birds. Chen initially doubts these signs, but when his father goes into a coma muttering about the crow demanding his life, he begins to suspect foul play. His investigation reveals that the village secretary and a medicine merchant are conspiring to spread panic, forcing villagers to abandon the mountains so they can illegally mine medicinal herbs. Chen ultimately exposes the conspiracy and protects his home.
