Dragon Gate Tea House

In 1937 during the War of Resistance, a bustling tea house in Chengdu becomes a hotbed of patriotism where people of all walks of life unite against the invaders. This once ordinary place transforms into an intelligence hub, a haven for refugees, and a recruitment center for the war effort. Chen Er-Guo, the shopkeeper, smashes his bowl to swear an oath, leading his gang of brothers to the front lines. The fiery matriarch, Hong Gu, outwits the traitors with her sharp wit. The passionate youth, Huang Er-Wa, bids farewell to his parents and lays down his brush to take up arms. Even a high monk sheds his robes to defend his homeland. In the face of national crisis, ordinary Sichuan people rise to the occasion, shouldering heavy burdens with their bodies in the rear area of the war, re-enacting the heroic epic where 'Sichuan people have never betrayed their country.'
