Snake in the Belly
Zhang Qiang, desperate for a son because his wife Li Suqin cannot conceive, blindly follows folk remedies and forces snake blood into her. The next day, the village doctor claims she is pregnant with multiples, making Zhang Qiang ecstatic at the prospect of finally having a son. However, his recent evil deeds have enraged the 'Spiritual Snake,' and retribution is quietly unfolding. Live snakes appearing on the bed, scales falling from her neck, the prophecies muttered by the foolish old woman, and Li Suqin's strange behaviors all point to Zhang Qiang's inevitable downfall for his wicked actions.
