These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and LimeShort ("LimeShort", "we", "us" or "our") and govern your access to and use of the LimeShort website at www.limeshort.net and its subdomains (the "Site"), the LimeShort mobile application (the "App"), and all content, features and services made available through them (together, the "Service").
By visiting the Site, installing the App, creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and our Privacy Policy, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the version in force. If we make material changes we will give you reasonable notice, for example by email or by a notice in the App. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
The Service is operated by LimeShort. For any question about these Terms, the Service, or to report a problem, contact us at [email protected]. We aim to reply within 1-2 business days.
We may contact you using the email address registered to your account, or by displaying notices inside the App. You are responsible for keeping your contact details up to date.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your place of residence, to create an account or use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement and that you are not barred from using the Service under any applicable law.
The Service is not directed to children. See Section 10 of our Privacy Policy for how we handle information relating to children.
Some features require an account. You may register with an email address and a verification code, or sign in with a supported third-party account such as Google. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your credentials confidential.
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend or close accounts that we reasonably believe are being used in breach of these Terms. Unless we agree otherwise, each user is permitted one account.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable and limited licence to access and use the Service for your own private, non-commercial enjoyment.
You may not, and may not permit anyone else to:
Content on the Service is provided by LimeShort and its content partners, or licensed to LimeShort. The Service presents short-drama content together with features such as search, rankings, multi-language subtitles, comments and danmaku.
We do not claim ownership of any third-party videos, images, titles, subtitles or other materials made available through the Service. Ownership of such materials remains with the respective rights holders. The LimeShort name, logo, interface, and the software and design of the Service are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
If you are a rights holder and believe that any material on the Service infringes your rights, you may ask us to remove it. See Section 7. We act on valid notices promptly, and repeat infringers may have their access terminated.
We respect the intellectual-property rights of others and expect our users to do the same. If you believe that material available through the Service infringes a copyright, trademark or other right that you own or control, please send a notice to [email protected] with the subject "Infringement Notice" and include the following:
We will review notices, remove or disable access to the material identified where appropriate, and may notify the user who uploaded it. If your material was removed in error, you may send us a counter-notice with the same contact details, a description of the material and the reason it was removed in error. Knowingly submitting a false notice may expose you to liability.
The Service may allow you to post comments, danmaku, tags, nicknames, images or other content ("User Content"). You keep ownership of your User Content, and you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display and distribute it in connection with operating and promoting the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content. You agree that it will not be unlawful, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, harassing, spam or infringing, and that you hold all rights necessary to post it. We do not endorse User Content and are not obliged to monitor it, but we may review, edit or remove any User Content at any time, and may suspend or close accounts that repeatedly breach this section.
The Service may include virtual coins, rewards, tasks, invites or similar items ("Virtual Items"). Virtual Items are not money, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged, transferred or redeemed for cash except where required by law.
Virtual Items are licensed to you for use inside the Service only. We may change, limit or withdraw Virtual Items, reward rules or promotional offers at any time, and may correct errors in balances or rewards. If you believe your balance is wrong, contact us within 30 days.
The Service is supported by advertising. You may see advertisements in the App or on the Site, and some features may be unlocked by watching an advertisement. Advertisements may be supplied by third parties, and we are not responsible for the products, services or claims made in them. Your dealings with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.
When using the Service you must not:
We may take any action we consider appropriate in response to a breach, including removing content, suspending or terminating accounts, and reporting conduct to the relevant authorities.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, and may allow you to sign in using a third-party account such as Google. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. Your use of a third-party sign-in service is also subject to that provider's terms.
We may add, change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service, including removing content, at any time and without notice, for example to reflect changes to our products, to comply with law, or to respond to a complaint. We do not guarantee that any particular title, episode or feature will remain available.
You may stop using the Service at any time, and may ask us to delete your account by writing to [email protected]. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including Sections 6, 7, 8, 14, 15, 16 and 17, will continue to apply.
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, or that any content will be accurate, complete or available at any particular time.
We are not responsible for the content of third-party materials made available through the Service, and we do not endorse any opinion expressed in them.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our affiliates, officers, employees and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Service, whether based in contract, tort, statute or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless LimeShort and its affiliates, officers, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or connected with your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your User Content.
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which our operating entity is established, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Before starting any formal proceeding, you and we agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by writing to [email protected] and allowing 30 days for a response. If the dispute is not resolved, it will be decided by the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Where the changes are material we will provide reasonable notice. If you do not agree to a change, you should stop using the Service before it takes effect.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent; we may assign ours to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
